Quinton Township, in participation with the Salem County Office of Emergency Management, recently updated the municipality’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. This update allows Quinton Township to maintain eligibility for certain federal grants, and coordinate to reduce the risk from natural disasters and hazards to the extent possible.
The Public Review Draft of
the Salem County Multi-Jurisdictional Multi-Hazard
Mitigation Plan Update will be available for review
between Friday,
August 18th
and Friday,
September 15th. The
documents will be posted
on the project website and can be downloaded for review during this period.

As of February 1, 2023, Salem County is engaging in an update to their Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The participation of all municipalities and concerned citizens will be important to maintain eligibility for certain federal disaster funds and help communities substantially reduce the risk of injury, death, property loss, and economic disruption from natural disasters.
